Life Is Short
Sometimes in life you just have to go for it. This site will document my families and my financial journey. I am now (gulp) middle aged and it still amazes me how lucky we are all to live in this era of human history.
How is it possible that so many children grow up without the basics of personal finance? How is it that so many millions of adults go through life never even knowing that it was such an important skill that is so dearly needed to lead a fulfilling life?
In the media I see lamentations about how so few people have a defined benefit pension plan – all the while we live in an age where information is so freely available? When we can track expenses, invest with the click of a button?
Retirement is not imperilled by the decline of the defined pension plan but by the lack of basic personal finance literacy by the luckiest citizens in all of human history.
It is the aim of this blog to share my journey in the hopes that we can all learn from each other and do our bit to enlighten more of us to the immense opportunity available to all of us.
